    Because they are bastards and believe they are the super race. I was reading their official website yesterday and thought.. Wow this would make a good science fiction novel and then BAM! I realised that it was pulled out of an ass by a science fiction writer! What a weird coincidence that a FICTION writer made all this up.

    Actually, scientology is the result of a bar bet between Hubbard and two other sci-fi authors as to who could create their own religion, unfortunately Hubbard started believing his own bullshit and it got the better of him.
