   I’m working with some SOF guys in theater right now. I wonder if they got one of those things stashed around here somewhere? (they have some grenades lying around, but I think they are for the M203 attachment) More importantly will they let me use it?

   btw, I am the lowly tech guy that provides them comm support, I’m not hardcore (like these guys)

   i am pretty sure that those could work with the M203. they are both 40mm ‘nades. but don’t hold me to it.

   40mm grenades for the M203 and 40mm grenades for the Mk19 are two different animals and are not interchangeable. They have slightly different case lengths and the Mk19′s rounds have the links build directly onto the cartridge, so they wouldn’t fit in a 203 tube anyway. Boo.

   The 40mm grenades used for the MK-19 and M203 are the same size. The MK-19 rounds are more powerful. You can fire (single shot, not auto) M203 rounds through a MK-19, but if you tried to fire a Mk-19 round through a M203, it would explode.
