I stopped caring about Stargate after they stopped SG-1.

i think everybody stopped caring about stargate after season 8 just because it went completely downhill
I miss the old Replicators.
They were one of the best “villains” I have ever seen in a science fiction show.
They were like Terminator Tyranids.
I hate the current stargate with a passion.
Recently watched the first four seasons of Stargate SG-1 and to tell you the truth – it is EPIC. It has this tingly feeling of exploring a new and unknown universe and so on. The current stargate is crap.
I’m watching Stargate Atlantis season 3 now. They make the same mistakes, the same bad decisions, the same nick of time saves… gets boring when everything is done a second time.
I think you guys are trying too hard…it’s just a sci-fi show…
Is it just me or does this look suspiciously like a Battlestar from the original BSG…?
Look! It’s the Daedalus! No, wait, it could be the Odyssey! Or the Apollo. They all look the same! But at least the control tower is on the correct side. After whining that the ship shouldn’t be “reversible” but rather like an aircraft carrier, the SFX guys had to spend more money to render the ship depending on which way it was going. That lasted like five minutes and now the control tower on top switches sides with amazing regularity. It’s really, really, REALLY annoying!
The first thing I said when I saw the Daedalus was, “Hey! It looks like the Battlestar Galactica!” And no one agreed with me until now!

tmar, yes they all look alike.
I liked seaons 9 and 10 of SG1 too… I mean I guess they weren’t as great as the ones before. I’m awaiting The Ark of Truth (stargatehub.com) on March 11th though for the conclusion of the whole Ori story line because they didn’t finish it up with the finale. I also heard there were more replicators *sigh*.
