as much as i hate macfags i have to agree with reboot on the magnet factor of apple products, same happen with iphones and ipods when they started. even those ugly imacs from the 90’s got the attention of the ladies, usually attractive, hence dumb chicks.
i think the imacs were what calmed the fear girls had of computers.

Aaaaah, makes sense when you point out that it was not a comparison between yourself (imac included) and PC users (many of whom are just as you described). I doubt I could really use much more attention, really. I actually overwork the little guy as it is, i wouldn’t want to become dependent on a little blue pill to give everyone their fix. Before you know it, I’d end up like heath ledger (i know, morbid reference, but there it is)

LPT, you missed my point, I DO have a beard, I am pretty hit and miss on the showering issue and I’ve literally been wearing the same shirt since Sunday (there’s a pic in my last comment. I don’t live with my parents, in fact my apartment has a nice few of Puget Sound).
Despite all that, scores of ladies dropped by my office to drool over my new iMac and have their picture taken with me. That is the power of the Mac chick magnet. Now imagine what could happen for a sharp-dressed man, such as yourself.

I’m a PC owner, laugh every time I see a mac, don’t wear a beard, shower daily, have enough clothes to go for 2 months without doing laundry (never wearing the same thing twice), live away from my parents (not even in a basement!!) and get more tail than any geek ever should. 20 for a new piece of hardware is not bad, what did you do after lunch?

AlecDalek, I’m not going to argue on technical merit, but Macs are TOTAL CHICK MAGNETS.
I just got a new iMac last week, so the two or three girls who offices near me wanted to check it out. I showed them the new Photobooth (which is a green screen-type program that let you take your picture with a background like Paris or whatever). By the end of the day, I had something like 20 girls come by my office and want to get their picture taken with me in front of the Eiffel Tower.
I’m not saying that I got laid, but I talked to more girls in one day than most neck bearded geeks who shower on a weekly basis and wear the same clothes everyday.
