Microsoft would actually do well with an ad campaign like this. Less wordy but basically saying: yes Macs are in fact better computers if you’re a fucking retard. If you’re in any way intelligent then get a real computer and leave the invalids to their shiny boxes and overblown branding.

I hate macs, but this is bullshit. Windows isn’t “hard”, it’s just a virus farm. If constantly defending your compy against an unending stream of viruses is a challenge, try Linux, where you’ll end up staring at an insane dream-logic command prompt all day.

Windows could be the easiest-to-use system around if microsoft wasn’t so worried about getting a product on the shelf. Hell, after about a million updates and service packs, XP works fine, and is easy-to-use. But right around the time they get XP working, they need a new product for business reasons and release VISTA, which will take 300 more patches before it works. Fuckin hell. Whatever happened to quality and industriousness? Isn’t that supposed to be the American way? Of course you’re all driving imported cars goddammit and when the Japs finally make an OS, I’ll be glad to see this PC/Mac debate die once and for all.

I am on my laptop, or rather, I dual boot, and I find myself using Ubuntu almost never. But hey, if you felt that DoS wasn’t mind-numbing and nonsensicle enough, go for it.
The problem is as soon as you hit 150mpb the bike blue screens and you crash.
I am not a mac guy, but that was a stupid picture.
Of course we should all realize that this argument is fundamentally flawed because PC means Personal Computer not Microsoft. Any computer can technically be a PC. Dell makes PC’s, Mac makes PC’s and OS’s, Microsoft makes Operating Systems. And since you can put a Mac OS on a PC that you built yourself you can, in fact, customize it.

Macs aren’t PCs by that definition. When was the last time you heard of someone crackin open their Mac Mini to throw in a new video card, or to switch out the processor?

I have no virus protection on my windows pc. Last time I had a virus was over 8 years ago. In that time I’ve been using filesharing programs like kazaa and emule to search for and download stuff.

Ando, are you sure you don’t have any malware? These days some of it hides pretty well. Your PC might be part of a zombie farm right now. Get yourself some Spybot S&D and AVG (both free). Personally, I refuse to pay for virus protection, for we all know it’s the damn anti-virus companies making a lot of the damn things. It’s like the mob on computer. And they’ll move their business to Macs if the market every moves that way.
I might have some malware, but TBH I think the whole virus thing is massively overstated. If my PC is infected and it’s effect isn’t even enough for me to notice then it’s not that big of a problem. Definitely not enough of a problem to make me want to fork out for an Apple Macintosh.

Last summer I had to work with a dude who really drank the kool-aid about Macs at my college’s helpdesk, and while he’s going on about how he creams himself over Macs and they’re perfect and never do anything wrong, I’m hauling heavy-ass broken Macs all over campus.
Why can’t Macs play PC games?
Because they would need to be ported and nobody can be bothered.
