Yep, I agree – shit. I mean, the first half hour was pretty entertaining and then it just went off into various effects meant to scare you, all while some guy we don’t give a fuck about comes to terms with losing his fucking kid. Boo-hoo. It could have used losing, say, 45 minutes.

I actually thought it was a really well put-together pschological thriller. The only thing they fucked up on was the DVD where they put in the alternate ending instead of the original. And the alternate ending SUCKS with a capital S. I loved this movie alot. So fuck y’all haters.

I enjoyed it…but the night that I went to go see it, the theater was completed fucked up. I bought tickets to go see Die Hard : CGI, but in the theater that it was scheduled in, this movie started up.
I got free tix out of it though, and got to see 1408, so I guess it worked out in the end.

I liked it.
I think the original poster liked it too and the first commenter misinterpreted what “it’s sick shit” meant.
Pretty damn good movie for such a predominantly contained location. That ain’t easy and is a huge budget saver.

So you misinterpreted that and focused on the shit part appropriating negative connotations to the word when the original context and intent was positive.
I understand you didn’t like it. That’s pretty fucking clear. And I disagree. As does everyone else so far.
But to reiterate, you missed the point of the original post.
