"Pat's Blue Rib'n Barbecue" is the name of the place. There used to be one near KU, too, but it shut down (I didn't know there was another one near KSU). PBR tastes like any cheap american beer, generally - little better than bud, a little worse than wheat state (you know what i'm talking about if you've been to KS).

Also, as for the "blue ribbon" you guys do realise that Pabst won that ribbon in like 1918, and changed their name to feature it - and haven't won a damn thing since, right? That's right, they're riding on a win 90 years ago. Nonetheless, it's both cheap and far more drinkable than bud, coors, natural light, and all that other swill.

That's how it read. I guess reading the above and not taking that into consideration made it seem like I was being a dick.

The points regarding you and how we pronounced it were not meant to be interpreted as related.

It just looked appro po when I read it.

Thanks, I've been curious for a while how you passed time in high school. Guess that clears that one up.

lol

Paul drinks PB and now defends it's honour.

When I was in highschool we used to say this beer's name with a lisp and some feminine flare. For obvious reasons.

Number one beer in Portland.

Basically, all bars have a bazillion microbrews and some Pabst for the cheap bastards. Somehow, we've grown accustomed to the taste.

I don't think it's bad at all...you just need to pour it out of the can into a nice tall glass. Cans can make any beer taste like shit. Ever since Pabst shut down this stuff has been brewed by Miller anyway.

I read somewhere that even with all the good local beers available in Portland OR, we're still the #1 consumer of PBR.
