ill save silver the pain of reposting. Yes he's joking. (Seriously.. I hope so) Thats just Ridiculous. And Jay finally solved the damned mystery. Now enough of:

"Doesn’t the blue tip indicate hollow point ammo? Atleast it did in Jagged Alliance 2."

Silver, you have got to be fucking kidding. A depleted uranium round used to penetrate tank armor!? Your arm will freakin blow off your shoulder if you fire something like that!

Its a sporting round!

SS197SR Sporting Round
Fiocchi currently manufactures SS197SR under contract for FN Herstal. The SS197SR cartridge uses the same 40-grain (2.6 g) .224 inch (5.7 mm) Hornady V-Max projectile as the SS196SR, but it is loaded for a slightly higher muzzle velocity. The bullets have a blue-colored polycarbonate tip. The first SS197SR boxes exhibit the modern FN blue and black colored packaging as shown in the photographs. Newer SS197SR boxes have a similar exterior appearance to the SS196SR and SS195LF boxes. These white cardboard boxes have an adhesive label, marked "Made in Italy”, which helps prevent cartridges from falling out of the box during shipment. The colored boxes rely solely on the flaps and do not use an adhesive label. SS197SR is available to civilians.

Clearly, the blue tip means it's a DU round. It's specialized to go through tank armor. It's the easy to use infantry answer to tanks. No need to carry around those heavy anti-tank rockets anymore.

It uses that ammo because it was meant to go with the p-90,because it uses the same ammo, and originally was sometimes sold as a package. Both guns are by FN, and use 5.7x28mm ammo

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg18-e.htm

from guns.ru:
"The Five-seveN pistol was designed by FN company (Belgium) as a complimentary sidearm for the P90 submachine-gun. The P90 and Five-seveN share the same ammunition, the 5.7x28mm SS190 cartridge. The SS190 ammunition looks like scaled down 5.56mm NATO round and boosts the 2.02 gramm (31 grains) pointed steel and alluminium core bullet to the muzzle velocity of 650 meters per second (ca. 2130 fps) from the pistol barrel. The key idea behind that ammunition and weapons is to provide good penetration against personnel, protected by modern body armour, while keeping weapons' weight, dimensions and recoil at the reasonable levels. "

No, think about it, if it's hollow point, then there IS NO POINT, it's HOLLOW. I love the Five-seveN, 5.7mm armor piercing bullets, 20 rounds per magazine, mmmmmmm......
