Russia is a G8 country with the ninth largest population in the world. Their economy has been growing for 6 years straight and their federal budget has been running on a surplus lately. Russia has problems, but it’s not some banana republic. In some form or another, Russia has been around since the 12th century; I would bet that the Russia exists as a nation long after the US collapses.
Federal budget runs on surplus because they dont provide the same social programs as other, they are ranked as “not free” by freedom house and calling him president is laughable when they are still a regime with a show of democracy.
Putin is a pretty jacked dude though. If I ate babies for breakfeast, I would be too.
Putin is also ex-KGB, so he knows eight different ways to kill you with his pinky, and that’s not factoring in his amazing ninja skills.

Hmmm Russia: 0 national debt while sustaining socialized medicine, mostly successful war in Chechnya, managing to pull out 7% annual growth. USA: 3 trillion dollars in debt, failing social programs, failing war in Afghanistan + Iraq, lucky to pull out 3% annual growth.

Apparently ‘not being free’ and ‘not providing health care’ are the two factors that mean your country will vanish into obscurity. Never mind that America’s great competitor for world power is the unabashidly non-free china (which has never been free, yet has consistently been a major world power for 90% of it’s history).
Also, do you know what the word ‘regime’ means? Or ‘president’?
