The plot is not all in the movie it is scattered about the various sources. Crass and commercial in a formerly anti-capitalist franchise? I don't think so friend I think it artistically paints a compelling fictional world and it only cost me like $600 to figure out what all the gnosticism references had to do with the hackneyed cliche "humans are the real monsters" sci-fi ending.
