Tiki’s soldering iron post made me cry. Enough to make me register and post a picture of my rig.

This is electronic nerd’s porn right here. One iron set to through hole temperature, one to surface mount work, and a 15l/hr desoldering pump. 300 to 800 degrees F in single digit increments.

  1. -=whistles=- And Tiki said he won’t post porn on here – that there’s soldering porn. ;-)

  2. Uncategorized? Why isn’t this under sexy? I’d love one of these but $935 is a little steep. Before I spend that much I gotta learn how to solder better, I don’t trust myself not to ruin stuff yet.

  3. wtf is that? looks pretty useless to me…

    whyyyy do you need 3? 1 would be enough since you can only use one at a time anyways (maybe 2 if you like clamp down what you are soldering so you can solder with one hand), but thats just stupid. plus if you got 1 instead of 3 it would be 1/3rd the price.

  6. Wow. Absolutely nerdgasm worthy.

    @kero
    it’s sometimes handy to have multiple soldering tips or temperatures ready at once. maybe.
