I’m having trouble with the whole poop-eating thing. Could someone show me a reference? This is the wikipedia listing: Daddy Longlegs.

3The third entry looks the most like how I remember them from summer camps of long past years. But I thought they weren’t true spiders. The harvestman looks nothing like them, either, and the first entry is a freaking flying insect.

If its the spiders, then it looks like they actually invade other spiders webs, eat the spider, the eggs, or the prey. But that doesn’t make any sense. You see thousands of these things all together in one area. They’d be eating each other non-stop.

I’m so confused.

Yes, BFG is Big Fucking (or freaking, or frigging) Gun. I’ve seen lots of similar items, like a BFR (Big Fucking Revolver) and such. Pretty much any time something is pre-empted by a BF, its a Big Fucking/Freaking/Frigging, unless it’s my BFF Jill.

BFG = Big Fucking Gun?

From what I hear…Daddy Longlegs have a VERY powerful venom. So, if they had the jaw strength to actually bite you they could kill you.
