You really don’t want to be overtaken by one of these, or even drive near them. They take forever to speed up and forever to slow down.

Yeah, the largest ones take about 5km to get up to speed and guess what? they take about 5km to slow down as well
a number of vehicles get squashed by them each year unfortunately, nothing the driver can really do!

I guess the extreme heat, sharks, snakes, and killer spiders were getting boring? Friggin Australians had to come up with a new way to risk their lives?
I hope they pay the drivers well!

Do they not have steam engine technology over there yet? A locomotive could probably handle that load and then some.

i am married to a truckie, endless mates r truckies and never had a fear…….till last thursday 20/12/06. a truck only 1 trailer smaller then this carrying diesel hit the back of my pajero spun me and hit the front, thankfully all 6 of my kids and myself and husband walked away. the idot driver was doing bout 120 and didnt leave enough room to overtake. thank god for my pajero (old 89 model) i have no doubt that any other vehicle would have killed us. these trucks should be off the road keep it to 2 trailers.

I like the bull bar on the front. How far do you think you could launch a roo with one of those traveling at speed?
