  1. I just don’t get how to get rid of the WATERMARK…

  2. It’s Jim Woodring’s art! He is great, mostly ftw stuff too.

  3. Hey kids! Don’t do drugs!

  4. Does anybody know WHY this was painted, or is this just modern dadaism or w/e?

  5. “I’M FLAMING DEATH! I WILL TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THE FUNLAND ACROSS THE LAKE!!!”

  6. I see they’ve finally resorted to raising the dead to find new DCFS employees. It’s a lot harder to fight having your kids taken away when you’re dealing with the flaming undead!

  7. Why, those aren’t flames, they are shreds of meat. You can see a far clearer reproduction of this image at
    www.jimwoodring.com/gallerypages/arsgratia/ars_11_04/insatiablecorpse.html

You can even buy a poster of it.
Considering when the picture was painted it might be a comment on current events, as well as a symbolist representation of what we all have coming to us.

  8. I’m friends with the artist, and he and his wife created an account to comment on this thread, but their comment wasn’t posted. I was wondering why you chose to post the picture, and the inane commentary (esp. “why was this painted?”) but decided to ignore the creator of the piece. Kind of a prick move, really.

  9. When I asked why it was painted, I was asking about the inspiration/meaning behind it. Reading it over, I realized that it did come off as sounding like something else.
