Personally, I’ve never seen WoW as a “Roleplaying” game. For me, its just a game, with a very positive social aspect.

However, one has to assume that the life that person has is marvelously dull in order to find pleasure in role-playing that you're some Elf and you stand for their code and make "alliances" and take 15 minutes before each battle calculating all the stats along with a bunch of little kids that want you to powerlevel them... And you pay for it! You can have a life and still be a video game addict.
