The people in this picture are cosplayers. The word is a portmanteau of the English words “costume” and “roleplay.”

Wow. So….what do they do? Do they run around and swing plastic swords at one another, believing that they themselves are the characters they attempt to portray? Do they all get to bang Wonder Woman?

Why would anyone be ashamed to have a super hero in the family?
