NASA & FAA intentionally crashed this Boeing 720 to test out a new fuel additive to jet fuel that was supposed to inhibit ignition and flame propagation. From the looks of this picture, I can’t tell if it worked…

    It worked. The out side of the plane was toast but the inside had no burn marks or fire damage of any kind.
