  4. It’s called an axolotl. They really look like this, but they’re not purple. Someone’s done a nice job of recolorizing this one, which in real life is white or pale gray.

  15. Axolotl or Axolote/Ajolote. It´s canon in evolutive developmental biology because they sometimes go through premature gonadic development.

  16. Yes it is as Axolotl. The operative difference between these and “Mudskips” is they never mature beyond larval stage (seen there) and they can regenerate any of their body parts.

    They can also be purple. That’s not photoshop or black light or anything.
