Funky, but not really practical, it has the wrong grip for a stabbing weapon. Your hand will just bend back. Might be ok for slashing though, but if you’ve got a pistol, why are you that close to them?

Tifu, you need to go read the zombie survival guide, beacuse if there are zombies approaching, and you run out of bullets, you RUN! Or you can jog since they aren’t that fast.

Of course its tactical. In close quarters your gonna be firing your ass off at a enemy only a few meters away.
If your gun jams or runs outta bullets, just rush in a stab the shit out of the badguy.
And its a decent grip for stabbing. Your just punching in and out of soft flesh. You don’t need to have a horribly strong grip to do that if your tip is sharp.
Horrible for slashing, cause its just too awkward. Try it out.
Everything should have a knife on the end of it. Like my car.
