Sublyme, Actually theories can only ever be disproven they can always be contradicted by new data. That said, evolution, like gravity, is a theory that is unlikely to be disproven in any dramatic way any time soon.

A common misconception. A scientific Theory doesn’t mean the same as a regular non-scientific theory (just an idea). Please read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory for enlightenment

Actually no scientific theory can ever be fully proven, it’s called falsifiability, and is a central principle of the scientific method… for instance, Newtons theory of gravity has been disproven…in it’s original form. Of course, for everyday use, his equations work just fine.

as to post #11, as an origin of life issue, evolution cannot be falsified, or even repeated in a lab, so…
and neither can creationism for that matter…
