It’s a prank. The gas you see is water vapor and carbon dioxide. Their explanation is bullshit. There will be very little alcohol in the vapor. Any “high” you feel will be due entirely to oxygen depletion via excess carbon dioxide inhalation. Also, it doesn’t look cool, and it won’t help these guys get laid.
