I believe man can progress without religion and that for most religion is a part of their lives because they like it, but those who are dependent on it for their every decision that’s retarded.
I just love those Baptist (sarcasm). Anyone can take whatever part of the bible they want and apply it to anything. That’s why some sects of Christianity are ridiculous.

What color is the sky in your world? All of those things still exist somewhere in the world. Hell white slavery is still happening in the U.S.

Also to think religion will ever go away is prepostorous. The gods may change but the belief by most people of a higher being will always be there along with those who manipulate that belief for power.

They weren’t protesting religion. Those people show up at funerals and preach to everyone that it’s a good thing how the soldier who died in Iraq and tell everyone how he (or she) is going to hell.

The protesters shouldn’t have riled up the religious folk to begin with. While I think that what they’re trying to do (protesting religion) is fine and I agree with them on it, they need to realize that those kinds of people can’t be reasoned with.

The best way to fight religion is to wait it out, because humans will eventually abolish religion as we evolve socially, much in the same way that we have abolished human sacrifice, slavery, cannibalism, inbreeding, polygamy, and other primitive practices.
