This is a Bucket Wheel Excavator. It is primarily used in coal mining.

Yeah, I kinda figured it was for mining, it’s got that feel to it. But DAMN it’s huge!

This thing was on History Channel’s Megamachines. It was being moved from a mined-out area (for this equipment, anyway), across a highway to start on the rest of the coal. It was special built, and likely will be scrapped rather than moved again.

wow, who would waste their money on something like that………………. i mean seriously look at the damn thing, it is just so damn small, i would rather have a big blue trailer than a little one, wouldnt you? eh well, the big trailer would cost more and i would have to have a bigger truck to hall it in, so i dont know, i need helps!
